Chapter 4

*Note* Before doing this chapter, I had to delete a lot of CC from my game because it wouldn't load. Therefore, there were some things missing, causing me to go a certain way in the story, and changing the decor. The decor changes were only minor. Thank you for understanding. I think the change was for the better and helped me get going.****

When I was escorted to my room by Dyten, he was not dressed in his usual labcoat. Instead, he was donning a nice suit. He took something out of my dresser.

"Here, put this on," he told me.

Grateful to be wearing something different than this sticky, tight outfit, I took the clothing immediately. Dyten stayed by the door to make sure no one came in.

When I had the dress on, I looked at Dyten for acceptance. I wanted to look nice. Desperately, I wanted to look nice for him.

He looked at me with sad eyes. "Oh, Tara..." he said, "I've missed you..."

I went towards him. He looked like he was ready to cry, and I wanted to help this time.

He looked up at me, "Tara, I'm taking you somewhere. I have permission from Nicholas to bring you somewhere outside the facility. I have to warn you, it's dangerous. Once we get there, you'll be staying there awhile... Okay?"

I nodded, confused. I was happy to be leaving, though. I didn't want to be treated badly by these people anymore. Especially not Calina... She had given me a horrible look on my way up here.

He took my hand. "Let's go."

On our way outside the facility, he was secretive, and anxious. He kept looking around, making sure no one was watching. I started wondering if he would bring me back. Not that I wanted to come back, but it would be nice if I could see Mary, again. I also wondered if I would ever be able to talk again.

When we got outside a nice, black car was waiting for me. He opened a door for me, and gestured for me to get in. I did, and off we went. I was shaking. Where are we going?

We pulled up to an expensive-looking house.

I followed him inside and up some stairs, and soon heard footsteps. They were running. I became nervous when I realized whoever it was was coming towards us, but Dyten didn't seem scared. He looked happy.

I was still staring at him when I heard, "DADDY!"
I looked over and saw a child.

"There's my favorite little girl," he said happily. "And where is your nanny?"

"She went to the store, we didn't know you were coming home! I missed you so much!"

"I know you did, sweetheart," Dyten said.

I didn't know why I started crying. I didn't feel sad, I felt happy. I didn't know why I was happy, either. This little girl...

"Holly," I blurted out. What did I just say?

She turned around, "how do you know my name?" she asked with a confused look. Dyten looked a little scared, too. I didn't know what I had done, or how I had known. I just knew.

Dyten asked her to go to her bedroom, and said he'd be there in a little. They had some things to talk about.

"Okay, daddy! I love you. Can we go see a movie together tomorrow? I miss watching movies," she said, smiling. He smiled back, and nodded.

When she had gone upstairs, he looked at me.

"That's our daughter, Tara. How did you remember her name? You didn't remember mine..."

I mumbled some gibberish at him. He sighed.

"I forgot you couldn't speak. Come upstairs then, I'll show you where to sleep."

Dyten knocked on Holly's bedroom door, and slowly opened it.

"Hi daddy!" Holly said excitedly. She was holding her teddy bear.

He swept her into a hug again. "Come sit with me, we have some important things to talk about."

As he pulled her onto his lap on her couch, she said, "is it about that lady?"

"Yes, sweetie."

He smiled as he though of how happy his daughter always made him. She smiled back.

"Holly, do you know how awhile ago I told you how your mother was gone, and that I didn't know if she was coming back?"

Wide-eyed, Holly nodded.

"That woman, Tara, is your mother."
